Temples in Omkareshwar

Omkareshwar is a sacred island in the Narmada shaped like the Om symbol. It hosts one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, along with the closely-linked Mamleshwar Temple. Peaceful, less crowded than Ujjain and blessed with the Narmada, Omkareshwar is often paired with Ujjain darshan.

Best time to visit: October to March. Kartik Purnima and Mahashivratri are especially auspicious.
