Temples in Nashik

Nashik, on the banks of the Godavari, is central to the Ramayana — Panchavati here is where Rama, Sita and Lakshmana lived in exile. Nashik is also home to the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the sacred twelve, and hosts the Simhastha Kumbh every twelve years.

Best time to visit: October to March. Simhastha Kumbh next expected in 2027–28.
